Budding artists from a Machynlleth day service have their paintings on display at an exhibition.

Eight clients from Cyfle Newydd, a Powys County Council centre for adults with a learning disability, have produced a series of landscape themed paintings which have gone on display at Powys County Hall.

Art is a popular activity at the centre and the group are fortunate to be guided by staff member Jon Robert West, a graduate of St Martins School of Art and a former restorer on Manchester's Turner Collection.

Some of the clients travelled from Machynlleth today (January 29) to see their work on display at Powys County Hall. It is hoped the paintings will also be exhibited at other venues.

Signed print copies of the paintings can be purchased from Cyfle Newydd. For more information contact Hayley Hughes on 01654 703463
