A 'Supplier to Buyer' an event for anyone involved in the tourism industry, leisure and hospitality in South-West Wales - was held at the Visit Wales Roadshow in Withybush, Haverfordwest on February 3rd. The event will also see the launch of Ffres - an exciting new web-based initiative at www.ffres.org designed to bring all those involved in the burgeoning food tourism sector in the region closer together. Food is a significant aspect of the tourist's experience of a destination, driven by the growing trends of authenticity, localism and the need to have a high-quality experience. "Ffres exists to help us all strengthen and improve our businesses and therefore develop the offering of the region as a whole - and we all stand to gain from that."
The Ffres website www.ffres.org will be a vehicle for food producers and the hospitality sector in SWW to: Ffres hopes that the website will assist collaboration between businesses by bringing producers, retailers, chefs and end-users closer together for the good of the whole industry.
